Zurich Passport application

Q : When should we apply Zurich Passport travel insurance?

A : Prior to your trip overseas.

Emergency

Q : What should I do in case of emergency?

A : Just call in to 24 Hour Worldwide Travel HelpPoint (number available at the back of your Zurich Passport card), provide our assistance coordinator with your name and policy number, and our assistance coordinator will assist you.

Medical Services

Q : Does sickness covered under Medical Expenses benefit?

A : Yes, but limited to non pre-existing condition and sickness resulting from Accident commenced during your trip overseas.


Q : What does pre-existing condition refer to?

A : Pre-existing conditions is a condition where medical treatment, diagnosis consultation or prescribed drugs or a condition for which medical advice or treatment was recommended by a Physician within 12 months period prior to the effective date of the Policy.


Q : In case of Accident or Sickness (non pre-existing) overseas, does the medical related service automatically guaranteed by Worldwide Travel HelpPoint or is it reimbursement basis?

A : Evacuation, repatriation, family visitation (compassionate visit) and return of minor children are automatically arranged and paid by Worldwide Travel HelpPoint, while medical expenses is reimbursement basis

Travel Convenience

Q : In case I missed my departure flight from Indonesia due to natural disaster (flood etc) will I get my Travel Delay benefit?

A : For Travel Delay benefit, the delay covered should be caused by the Public Common Carrier which you have scheduled for your departure, as result of strike, riot, civil commotion, hijack, terrorism, weather condition and mechanical and/or electricity breakdown of the Public Common Carrier, not because of something caused by the Insured’s condition.


Q : If my flight got delayed and rescheduled to the next day, does Zurich Passport cover any hotel expenses incurred overseas?

A : Yes, we cover extra hotel cost cover due to delayed flight overseas with minimum 8 hours of delay period (consecutive).

Loss

Q : If I loss my passport and travel documents during my journey, is it covered?

A : Loss of travel documents is covered. We will reimburse all necessary cost of replacing the travel documents lost, for you to be able to continue your journey which includes any additional accommodation expenses (if occurred).

General

Q : Does sport activities covered under Zurich Passport?

A : Yes, sport activities are automatically covered with no additional premium. Sport activities is limited to amateur context and excluding riding or driving in any kind of racing or speed contest.


Q : In Family Policy, what is the proportion for my Spouse and Children?

A : Spouse and Children benefit portion is 100%, except for Personal Accident where Children’s benefit is limited to a max of 50% of the sum insured.


Q : Does the 2 adults in Family Policy need to be related?

A : The 2 adults may not be related, but 1 of the adult insured must be related to the Children (if any).


Q : Does Annual Policy available for Family option?

A : Annual Policy is an Individual Policy. Your Children can apply for Annual Policy as well, but limited to Silver benefit level only.
